Our History

History of Growth and Resilience

The journey of Channel Biorefinery & Terminals, LLC began with the acquisition of the Green Hunter Biofuels facility, a 105 million-gallon-per-year biodiesel plant that had lain dormant since its construction in 2007. Despite facing setbacks due to natural disasters such as Hurricane Ike, which caused extensive flooding and delayed operations, our company remained steadfast in its vision to revitalize and reinvigorate the facility. Through strategic investments and diligent efforts, we transformed the once-idle plant into a thriving hub of biodiesel production, poised to make a significant impact on the renewable energy landscape.

Looking towards the future, CB&T remains dedicated to continuous improvement. Our long-term vision involves maximizing the facility’s potential, gradually increasing production capacity to reach 75 million gallons of biodiesel annually within the next two years. This expansion will solidify our position as a major player in the biodiesel industry while simultaneously strengthening our core services of storage and logistics.
